PHOtonics technologies: 3 scholarships worth 22,000 euro each to study complex industrial systems data analysis and process monitoring. The Call for applications is now open until 19 march 2019

The Sant’Anna School Institute of Communication, Information and Perception Technologies (TeCIP) and the ICT-COISP Information and Communication Technologies for Complex Industrial Systems and Processes center scholarship program offers financial support to build Artificial Intelligence solutions. Studying and working with the TeCIP and ICT-COISP researchers will give graduates in Engineering, Physics, Information Technology, Mathematics, Statistics and related studies the opportunity to explore practices and methodologies for machine learning, data analytics, and monitoring of complex industrial systems under the supervision of Valentina Colla. The 3 scholarships worth each 22,000 euros per year, for up to three years.

Three winners will learn from pioneering researchers and cover a wide range of topics:

  • digitalization of manufacturing processes
  • predictive and preventative maintenance, detection of faulty inputs
  • improvements in operational efficiency across the supply chain, tracking production status to customers

Eligible candidates are required to submit their applications by March 19, 10.00 am. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to interview.

This scholarship program is a joint initiative delivered by the TeCIP Institute in cooperation with Baker Hughes (GE). Scholarship winners will develop digital technologies at the TeCIP Institute in Pisa and participate in outdoor activities at GE Nuovo Pignone – Florence.

Baker Hughes, a GE company, is a full-stream provider of integrated oilfield products, services and digital solutions.
